As the Enterprise Application Engineer, you will be working on multiple projects as a technical expert or internal consultant. You will work on projects for components of the domain. You will work on multiple technical or functional domains. As an SAP ABAP Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the ABAP programming language to meet business needs within the SAP ecosystem.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
  • Develop and Maintain Applications: Design, code, test, and implement ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements to support business processes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with SAP consultants, project managers, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize Performance: Ensure the efficiency and scalability of SAP applications by optimizing existing code and implementing best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve issues in ABAP programs, conduct unit testing, and support integration testing.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ABAP programs, system configurations, and development processes.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and best practices to enhance development processes and solutions.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.

Desired Characteristics• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of the ABAP programming language and experience with SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, HR).
Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development, including familiarity with object-oriented programming and SAP development tools (e.g., ABAP Workbench, SAP HANA).
• Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction
aligning with business goals
• Understands concepts of software deployments and configurations
• Familiar with automation techniques and tools
• Understands how to adapt applications on cloud computing platforms to drive cloud adoption
• Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of

• Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits

• Escalates issues that impact the client and/or strategic initiatives
