Shipping & Logistics Leader

CO Salary Range: USD 30.00 per hour

Job Description Summary
This role is for a shipping specialist this position will hold a key role in our business, helping us to meet on time delivery and quarterly shipping deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction through quality packaging and shipping of our products.

The Shipping & Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role manages shipping operations, maintains relationships with carriers/freight forwarders, and ensures compliance with global or domestic shipping regulations. The Lead will supervise logistics staff and optimize workflows to improve supply chain performance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Oversight: Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring order accuracy and adherence to delivery timelines.
• Carrier Management: Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and courier services to negotiate rates and resolve service issues.
• Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Customs Invoices) and ensure compliance with international trade/import-export regulations.
• Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline inbound/outbound material flow.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor logistics personnel; schedule shifts and manage performance metrics.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the logistics chain and implement process improvements (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce costs and lead times.
• Reporting: Track KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, shipping costs per unit, and carrier performance, providing regular reports to management.
