Services Quality Value Stream Manager - HA Class and F Class

Job Description Summary

The Global Services Quality Organization has an open position for a highly motivated self-starter who will lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives for the H Class and F Class Gas Turbine value streams. The Value Stream Manager needs to be a self-driven individual, able to lead through influencing, comfortable with change who will lead continuous improvement for the value stream(s) within their scope. This leader will use lean problem-solving techniques to determine systemic root cause and implement countermeasures to drive sustainable service quality improvement.
The Value Stream Leader will work closely with cross-functional team members, including Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Lean and Quality functions, to accomplish the Value Stream objectives.

Job Description

As a Value Stream Manager, you will:

• Use a problem-solving framework to develop the cross functional Value Stream problem solving capability in collaboration with a Lean Coach.
• Lead and provide direction to a Value Stream team composed of cross-functional, mission-based Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the problem-solving cycle. Maintain the engagement of the Value Stream team members and influence functional leaders as necessary to ensure staffing and needed support.
• Drive systemic problem-solving to root cause and sustain countermeasures through Value Stream standard work.
• Pull in required support functions beyond the core Value Stream team as needed to collaboratively drive continued progress in the root cause analysis or countermeasure implementation.
• Participate and present the problem-solving progress to Senior Leadership during Monthly Operating Reviews, leading deepdive reviews as needed.
• Deploy corrective and preventative actions, ensuring sustainment of actions implemented

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience
• Significant operational experience in Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, leading cross functional teams, Quality or equivalent
• English fluency
• Travel as needed to support problem-solving and team-building

• Expertise in quality management methods using Six Sigma, Lean methodology and GE Problem Solving Methodology
• Demonstrated influencing skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in a cross functional team environment
• Strong Management Experience; strategic thinking and problem solving
• Proven leadership skills: demonstrated track record leading a team and working in a team environment to achieve results
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience working in a global, cross functional environment
