The ideal candidate will have a high level of commercial judgment, strong relationship-building skills, and the flexibility to lead opportunities in other countries. This job requires demonstrated ability to lead across multiple countries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Opportunity Assessment:

  • Generate and lead commercial opportunities within the assigned geographic area.
  • Maximize customer value and sales through high-added-value solutions within an appropriate level of risk.
  • Lead Italy Country Declaration Roadmap - similar to the Core Country Roadmaps launching in Q1, lead strategic build out and cross-functional alignment/pacing of Italy strategy in alignment with 2025 LTS commitments and Commercial L2 Bowler metrics. Act as a dotted line member of the Commercial Enablement team in this capacity.

Budget and Compliance:

  • Prepare budgets for wind onshore projects and evaluate GE Vernova's competitive position.
  • Utilize technical experience for advanced data analysis to win business and take new perspectives on existing solutions.
  • Assess opportunities and ensure full compliance with internal approval and assessment processes.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of customer relationships, including leading relationships with designated key accounts in other countries in Europe.
  • Partner with service and execution team to lead the resolution of conflicts and the origination of new business.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with renewables C-suite executives to develop long-term relationships.

Cross-Country Support:

  • Lead opportunities of the designated Key Accounts across all Europe, guaranteeing a competitive level and harmonized conditions across different countries.

Financial Investment solutions:

  • Lead Wind/Financial Services strategy for South Europe, representing the Wind business in the development, alignment and pacing of a cohesive strategy to enable 10% growth in Italy, 10% growth in Spain and 5% in France. This includes responsibility for representing Wind with SLT regarding investment $/budget.

Industry Association Interface:

  • Act as the single point of contact between industry associations in Italy and GE Vernova Wind business.
  • Participate in meetings and defend GE Vernova's interests.

Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Develop specialized knowledge of the latest commercial developments in the renewable energy industry.
  • Lead the definition of the appropriate commercial strategy and policy development for GE Vernova Wind business.

Competitiveness Analysis for South Europe:

  • Assess the competitiveness of GEV's Onshore Wind Turbines in all the countries of South Europe. Lead the development of new offerings.
  • Gather and analyze market data, competitor information and customer feedback.
  • Develop appropriate tools to assess our commercial intensity in the region and identify gaps.
  • Identify new partners to increase the competitiveness of GE Vernova's products and services

Develop and Simulate Proposal Enhancements for South Europe:

  • Create and simulate various enhancements to GEV's proposals to secure new deals in South Europe.
  • Identify opportunities for adding value to proposals without reducing the price.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the implementation of feasible enhancements.

Global Energy Solutions & GE Vernova Council representation:

  • Represent GE Vernova Wind Business in the GE Vernova Council, contributing to the pillars of people and growth.
  • Interact with other GE Vernova businesses to structure global energy solutions for customers, leading the solutions on behalf of GE Vernova Wind business.
  • Collaborate with council members to align strategies and drive collective success.

Advocacy and Governmental relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key authorities and stakeholders.
  • Support relationships with authorities during project execution to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Communication:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive communication campaign to showcase GE Vernova's strength in the market.
  • Create and implement strategies to enhance GE Vernova's brand presence and reputation.
  • Utilize various communication channels to engage with stakeholders and promote our products and services.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior account managers/ Commercial Leadership Programme, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Partner with the Sales Director to mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and achieve their career goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge or experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Italian and English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Self-starter with high energy, willingness to cold-call and network, and an ability to energize others.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based, willing to travel around 60% of the time mainly through Italy.
  • May require working in various locations within Europe.
  • Significant experience in onshore Wind sales, sales in the energy sector or technical sales.
