The Primary role of the Project Manager is to ensure the 4 core elements of the project (being Scope, time, Money and resources) are managed from initiation to close out using good project management framework. Actionable elements such as scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, communications reporting and risk management shall be used to achieve the necessary outcomes
The primary role of the Project Manager is to provide on-going project leadership and coaching to cross-functional project teams to ensure that project deliverables are met. Working with all stake holders contractor to ensure the successful delivery of the project within or improved cost estimates and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, monitor and review project management plan for each project allocated.
- Ensure communications to all parties (including regular meetings) are done and all parties are aware of their actions
- Ensure regular reports (weekly to monthly) are produced irrespective of actions and circulated to all stakeholders.
- Ensure scope, time money and resources are monitored and any deviations to the plan are recorded with variations adjusting the plan or actions undertaken to bring back to the plan.
- Lead project teams to ensure common understanding of deliverables and open issues for each project phase; Drive open issues to resolution
- Own the creation and tracking of project schedule and reporting of project progress and performance
- Lead project teams in defining key project metrics and targets for items such as product costs, project costs, manufacturing metrics and quality goals. Track and report on progress to targets throughout project.
- Coordination with different manufacturing units of GE Vernova
- Setup purchase agreements with subcontractors and ensure delivery as per contractual scope
- Analysis of the customer's needs starting from tender, work with Engineering team, identification of the appropriate solution according to customer's functional specifications
- Ensure all Health and Safety, site safety plans and ITP are completed by the appropriate persons and compliance to them are monitored through suitable checks and audits.
- Coordinate Test activities (FAT & SAT) based on project scope
- Support in detecting claim opportunity & claim negotiation
- Cash forecast and cash collection
About you:
- Engineering Degree Electric & Electronic or related
- Studies or post graduate education in Project Manager is desirable but not essential
- 5 to 10 years' experience as project manager in the field of High voltage substations, SCADA , RTU or electrical control system with track record of independently managing 10 to 15 projects with average size of one million USD and above.
- Experience with EPC / Interface Management.
- Self-starter with high discipline, able to deliver and lead cross functional teams to success.
- Strong communications and people skills
- Attention to details and methodical
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Leadership skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical, problem solving, facilitation, organization, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage escalations, site challenges, supply chains, etc.
- Lean mindset, eliminate waste and create circular feedback for business improvement
- Experience with scheduling softwares
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
