Senior New Product Introduction Project Manager
Job Description Summary
GE Vernova is globally recognized for designing, manufacturing and delivering customized HVDC solutions for utilities worldwide. With over 130 years of pioneering experience, GE offers two HVDC technologies, Line Commutated Converters (LCC) and Voltage-Sourced Converters (VSC), to support a broad range of applications and deployable in different schemes including overhead line (point to point), back-to-back, submarine/land cable and offshore.
GE Vernova NPI Development team is looking for a NPI Project Manager (NPI PM) to manage portfolio of Power Electronics and Valves programs. The NPI PM will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, budget control, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of New Product Introduction projects through to industrialization.
They will become a key interface to manage internal stakeholders within HVDC portfolio. The candidate must have a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts, as well as more general management, influencing and leadership skills.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver programs using established project management methods such as PMI, Project Management Institute (PMI), PMP (Project Management Professional), and PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
- Build and maintain detailed program plans, track scope, budget, schedule, and risks, and hold owners accountable for actions and deadlines.
- Lead project meetings, chair gate reviews, and manage Program Increment release paperwork to support clear execution and decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), Safety, Quality, IP (Intellectual Property), Cyber, and People teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Report program status, key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, risks, decisions, and escalations to senior stakeholders.
- Lead a matrix team to deliver complex projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards, with strong attention to cyber-secure automation and controls systems.
- Align program goals with sponsors, product managers, principal engineers, and team members to keep priorities clear and execution focused.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing complex electrical, power electronics, or mechanical projects, ideally in industrial automation and control systems.
- Strong skills with planning tools such as Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6, JIRA, or similar tools.
- Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders and working across multiple business functions.
- Clear communication, steady problem-solving, and strong program leadership, with the ability to bring structure to complex work and help different teams deliver together.
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Travel flexibility up to 10%.

Preferred
- Project management certification such as PMI, PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments), or equivalent.
- Experience working with engineering firms in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) or similar engineering domains.
- Experience supporting software programs in complex, fast-moving environments.
