Job Description Summary

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced Energy Management System (EMS) strategies for multi-source energy environments, including Gas Turbines, BESS, renewables, and hybrid systems.
  • Extend EMS capabilities to data centers, enabling real-time optimization of power flows, UPS integration, and renewable/battery dispatch for grid-tied and islanded modes.
  • Design automation architectures leveraging centralized & decentralized controllers for ensuring scalability, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
  • Create control algorithms and dispatch strategies for islanded and grid-connected operations, optimizing energy flow, load balancing, and predictive analytics.
  • Integrate power conversion equipment with EMS, SCADA, and digital platforms for real-time monitoring, fault-tolerant control, and predictive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Order-to-Remittance team to ensure smooth project execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction through proactive technical support and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, UL) and support certification processes for multi-source energy systems.
  • Perform system modeling and validation using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, and integrate with SCADA platforms & Hardware in the loop test setups.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to digitalization and automation roadmaps.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert supporting the commercial team by conducting technical due diligence, interpreting complex customer requirements, and contributing to high-value proposals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy management systems, automation, or industrial control.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Proven expertise in the design, configuration, and commissioning of Distributed Control Systems or SCADA systems for complex power applications.
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
