Job Description Summary
Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Finance Data and Analytics to serve as second-in-command to our Finance Data and Analytics Leader. This senior role will be instrumental in executing our financial data strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and leading critical initiatives in data democratization, automation, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to drive transformational change across the finance organization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Partner with the Finance Data and Analytics Leader to execute strategic data initiatives
- Drive monthly operating reviews of Data & Analytics solutions in the development process through establishing operational metrics and KPIs to measure team effectiveness and business impact
- Present analytics findings and strategic recommendations to business leaders
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers to ensure solution alignment with business needs
Automation & Process Excellence
- Design and deliver projects focused on eliminating manual work through process excellence and intelligent automation
- Create solutions for repetitive finance processes suitable for robotic process automation (RPA) and workflow optimization
- Measure and report on productivity gains achieved through automation initiatives
- Monitor and implement continuous improvement actions for ongoing process enhancement
Data Science & Visualization
- Manage the catalog of enterprise data visualization platforms and self-service analytics tools
- Measure and increase usage of next-generation analytics including real-time dashboards, interactive reporting, and mobile-enabled insights
Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
- Provide central intelligence and development support for solutions across finance functions
- Establish best practices and standards for advanced analytics development, validation, and monitoring
- Support deployment of AI tools for finance process optimization
Technology Partnership & Innovation
- Champion the adoption of emerging technologies including cloud-based analytics, machine learning platforms, and real-time data processing tools
- Partner with Digital Technology on tools and technology selections
- Directly manage-group of third-party analytics developers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master's degree in finance, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance, data analytics, or related fields
- 3+ years in roles managing data and analytics initiatives and associated cross functional teams
- Proven track record leading digital transformation projects in finance or related functions
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in GE Vernova's leadership programs (CAS, OFLP, FMP, etc)
- Deep understanding of financial systems, processes, and reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools
- Experience with modern data platforms
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and AI implementation in context of business outcomes
- Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.) and understanding of automation technologies (RPA, workflow management, API integration)
- Strong project management capabilities with experience delivering complex, multi-year initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Change management expertise with proven ability to drive organizational transformation
- Desire to improve stakeholder satisfaction and ability to measure returns on initiatives

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $147,400.00 and $245,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
