Job Description Summary

Ce rôle dispose d'une autonomie dans le domaine opérationnel ou dans un segment au sein d'une unité commerciale plus grande. Ce rôle peut avoir un impact majeur sur une petite unité commerciale ou un segment au sein d'une fonction ou d'un compte de résultat. Des niveaux élevés de capacité d'évaluation et de perspicacité opérationnelle sont nécessaires pour atteindre les objectifs.

Job Description

Core responsibilities

• Work with Program & Product Management teams to create high-level specifications.
• Develop and support protection and control solutions utilising design specifications, model-based design which facilitates code generation.
• Perform system studies and simulations using appropriate tools to validate algorithms.
• Analyse user specifications / requirements to recommend appropriate solutions
• Analyse market trends and requirements to propose new developments in GE Digital Energy products.
• Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve products, applications or field issues
• Provide technical consultation, leadership, and guidance throughout the entire NPI design process
• Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for GE products
• Assist in preparing training material and deliver training courses, where required
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to a new and/or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops when required

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Extensive experience in power system protection, automation, and control product development.
• Working knowledge of Matlab / Simulink for model design and power system simulation tools such as RTDS. PSCAD or ATP/EMTP.
• Proven track record of publishing and presenting at industry forums and conferences
• Familiarity with industry standards and documentation procedures of electrical utilities.
• Knowledge of modern protection and control and distribution automation developments and trends.
• Knowledge or experience of metering, wireless / Ethernet / serial communications applicable to P&C (such as IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3.0 and IEC60870-5-103).

• Good communication skills with a proactive and open approach to conflict resolution.
• Collaborative approach to working in a team, displaying initiative and proactive approach to tasks.
• Flexible and adaptable; open to change and modification of tasks, working in multi-tasking environment.
