Partnering closely with Digital Technology, Corporate/Regional Security, EHS, Cybersecurity, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Sourcing, the role ensures security platforms and software are secure-by-design, interoperable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

As the technical leader for all security systems and platforms, the Security Technologies Leader drives technology strategy, architecture, and implementation discipline across the enterprise. The role evaluates emerging technologies, strengthens integration across existing systems, and ensures that security technology investments deliver measurable operational value and resilience.

This position plays a critical role in evolving GE Vernova's security technology landscape into a modern, data-enabled capability that supports rapid decision-making, incident visibility, and coordinated response across the company's global footprint.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define the enterprise architecture for physical security technologies including access control, video management systems, analytics platforms, and incident management tools.
  • Lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of security technology solutions across GE Vernova facilities and operations globally.
  • Ensure interoperability and integration between security systems, enterprise data platforms, and digital technology infrastructure through modern architecture, APIs, and middleware.
  • Partner with Digital Technology and Cybersecurity teams to ensure security platforms meet enterprise standards for reliability, cybersecurity, and data governance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies including AI-enabled video analytics, computer vision, sensor networks, and advanced situational awareness platforms.
  • Establish governance and standards for physical security technology deployments, system configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with regional security teams to support deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement of security technologies.
  • Lead vendor evaluation, technology sourcing strategy, and platform roadmap development in partnership with Sourcing and Digital Technology.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with privacy-by-design principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standard governance, guidelines, minimum specifications, and regulatory requirements

  • Define and sustain the global strategy and architecture for physical security technologies across GE Vernova.
  • Modernize and integrate enterprise security platforms to enable improved situational awareness and operational visibility.
  • Strengthen interoperability between physical security systems, enterprise data platforms, and digital technology environments.
  • Advance the use of analytics, automation, and intelligence-driven capabilities to support proactive security risk management.
  • Ensure security technology investments align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and privacy frameworks.
  • Support regional and business security teams with scalable, resilient, and user-centric technology solutions.
  • Drive disciplined technology governance, vendor strategy, and lifecycle management across the security technology portfolio.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Security Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise security technology, physical security systems, or critical infrastructure protection.
  • Demonstrated success designing and deploying enterprise physical security platforms in complex global environments.
  • Strong experience integrating physical security technologies with digital technology and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to translate operational security requirements into scalable technology architecture.
  • Experience working within multinational, asset-intensive, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure organizations.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to lead complex projects with rigorous tracking, accountability, and concise stakeholder reporting

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, or MBA.
  • Professional certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics environments, or operational technology integration.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, computer vision, or advanced detection technologies.
  • Experience supporting security technology governance in highly regulated or global environments.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Security & Business Security. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Security.

Eligibility Requirement

US candidate only: The base pay range for this position is $112,400.00 - 187,400.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
