Job Description Summary
The Quality & Lean Leader for the GSI Latin America (LAM) region is a leadership role responsible for driving a "Quality First" culture and operational excellence across our complex project portfolio. The primary objective is to minimize the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by integrating proactive risk mitigation and "Lessons Learned" into the commercial phase, and ensuring robust non-conformity management during the execution phase.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead preventive quality reviews during the proposal phase, leveraging lessons learned to identify and mitigate project risks early.
- Conduct quality risk assessments on priority projects and ensure mitigation actions are documented, tracked, and closed.
- Monitor and analyze COPQ trends, identify key failure drivers, and implement corrective actions to reduce financial impact.
- Act as the regional quality gatekeeper, enforcing the SQDC hierarchy and ensuring quality standards are not compromised.
- Own the end-to-end Non-Conformity (NCR) process, ensuring timely identification, containment, resolution, and closure of issues.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence of critical failures.
- Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives through KPI management, process mapping, waste reduction, standardization, and Kaizen projects.
- Manage stakeholder performance by improving NPS and customer satisfaction, while aligning regional execution with global quality and lean standards.

Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering.
- Proven experience in Lean and Quality Management, with the role focused approximately 20% on Lean initiatives and 80% on Quality activities.
- Experience leading and conducting internal and external audits.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, managing direct reports (approximately 6 employees) and coordinating third-party resources across the LAM region.
- Experience in the electrical industry and/or substation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in managing quality dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Proficiency in either Portuguese or Spanish.
