The technologies we offer are High Voltage Direct Current [HVDC], Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems [FACTS], Alternating Current Systems [ACS] and Services [Global Long Term Service Agreements, Turnkey Retrofits, HVDC & FACTS Modernization & Upgrades].
Here you will participate in enabling the energy transition, creating value for our customers to integrate more and more renewable energy into the grid through solutions that cover inter-regional interconnections, harnessing large offshore wind energy, and solutions that bring stability and reliability to the grid.
Role description:
As the Engineering Quality & Tools Manager Engineer you will be responsible to drive quality compliance and tools development for the associated Engineering Community of GRID SYSTEMS INTEGRATION [GSI] Central Europe.
This will involve coordinating with the Engineering team to schedule and prepare the gate and technical reviews and Lessons Learned , to ensure correct implementation of processes and procedures as per our Engineering Management Hand Book, develop and monitor the CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Actions), perform Quality Audits including CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration ).
You will also be responsible for the deployment of tools and the setup of the onboarding.
Under the leadership of the Engineering Operations Leader and Quality Leader, your action will be essential to ensure that the Quality function is active and driving improvements within the business to secure a profitable & sustainable growth
Job Description
Main responsibilities:
- Support and drive compliance with Design and Technical Reviews to ensure that ongoing projects are properly risk-managed
- Support business leaders in deploying and training staff on related procedures and work instructions
- Support the development of a strong Quality Culture in requirement management, customer complaint management, and non-conformity management, ensuring alignment with global instructions
- Collaborate with team members to find creative solutions to complex problems
- Perform and support internal quality audits & Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives based on Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including the 8D methodology
- Support Lean roadmap and Kaizen Events
- Ability to travel globally to support team. Around 15% across Berlin, Dresden, Salzbergen, and Stafford

Key requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- A highly experienced professional with a solid background in Quality Engineering
- Experience with CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Experience with EPC business
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills
- Desire to work on international environment and good understanding of a matrix organization
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills, with a solid Lean mindset and the ability to develop and manage complex tasks.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, effective at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent English; German is an advantage.
