Job Description Summary

Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing documentation control, and supporting project execution activities for HVDC project in India. This role bridges quality assurance, quality control, documentation management, and project management to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with internal and external requirements. Project Quality manager will operate within the quality framework outlined by the organization, regional quality function and project quality requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective quality management system in HVDC project by developing project specific quality plans, standards, procedures in alignment with organizational quality policy.
  • Lead quality risk assessment in project processes to mitigate potential risks and identify required actions.
  • Ensure that control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained through the lifecycle of the project including trail of audit records.
  • Liaise with customer and internal / external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards in line with contractual and organizational benchmarks.
  • Meet with customers, vendors, management during project meetings and final inspections and provide and prepare reports and presentations to support these meetings.
  • Perform Audits and follow-up on actions as necessary.
  • Issue Non-Conformity, investigate customer complaints and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions with follow-up on closure.
  • Track and coordinate internal qualifications and lead quality part.
  • Maintain / roll out procedures and update to the quality function.
  • Ensure that control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained through the lifecycle of the project including trail of audit records.
  • Champion Quality - Drive and implement effective quality culture into the organization.
  • Train and educate the quality and project team on the proper use of quality tools and practices.
  • Promotion of zero defect and stop the line culture.
  • Understand the GE VERNOVA strategy and support its implementation towards customers, partners, suppliers, and other GE VERNOVA employees.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Degree Level or equivalent in Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Previous quality management experience preferably with HVDC or Large Complex projects valued over 50 M$.
  • Good Communication Skills (Fluent English Spoken and written)
  • Commercial awareness with demonstrated ability to negotiate variation, settlements in complex projects.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical grids and ideally power electronics / HVDC will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks whilst maintaining accuracy within set time limits.

  • Positive Attitude and Resilience
  • Willing to travel extensively within India and overseas for meetings for HQ team.
