Job Description Summary

The Project Manager - Pillar Tools is an exciting lead role in Gas Power Engineering focused on the development, sustainment, and tactical advancement of software functionality for product and asset lifecycle management needs. Residing within the Pillar Engineering Tools (PET) group, the project manager will be a decision-maker, collaborator, contributor, and influential who furthers engineering's digital thread footprint and improves operational management of applications. The Pillar Tools consist of a number of data-focused applications with the cornerstone PLM platform and its many global integrations serving as a value-driver for more than 14,000 users globally. The Project Manager role includes responsibilities in rolling out Gas Power's new PLM platform capability and expands into leading advancements of Multi-Generational Product Plans, Artificial Intelligence strategies, Systems Engineering enablement, and overall Tool Portfolio optimization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager Lead for pillar tool development initiatives, such as next generation PLM development, representing the translation of business process requirements into implementation, sustainability, and enhancement of software functionality.
  • Drive day-to-day engagement for platform development(s), acting as a focal with the business to continually raise awareness and alignment, synergizing expectations as changes occur.
  • Execute strategy and/or policy per standard practices and precedents, including contributions to the creation and deployment of new standards documentation.
  • Manage, coordinate, and drive execution of software development through project tollgates, across business groups where applicable, applying Lean methodologies to identify and act on pain points.
  • Apply appropriate Daily Management, disseminating project KPIs, operational management needs for platform lifecycles, and alignment with Leadership, Stakeholders, and Users.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-business teams on program needs, plan socialization approach, and going-forward guidance, particularly targeting alignment when faced with lack of consensus.
  • Provide consistent communication rhythm on project(s) status and operational improvements with individual contributors, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Ensure requirements are completed prior to IT production releases.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 + years of Project Management experience in Engineering/Technology and/or Engineering Tools.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Sets realistic objectives, accurately appraises situations, detects risks and issues, provides constructive feedback, and adapts seamlessly to changes in priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Differentiating Characteristics

  • Holds strategy and expertise for Software Lifecycles and Change Management, preferably proficient with cross-functional and cross-business process approaches enabled by application tools
  • Capability and passion for PM work, including within a matrix-based, global engineering team. CAPM or similar certification a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with software development methodologies and supporting tools, preferably with Agile and scrum framework approaches.
  • Industrial Engineering tools knowledge: PLMs (Enovia and/or Teamcenter preferred), basic knowledge of ERPs (SAP, and/or Oracle preferred); familiarity with CAD

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
