As a member for Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for design, engineering, testing & commissioning of Distributed Control System (DCS) for different fuel-based power plants for India/global projects.
Job Description
- Familiar with DCS system, defining solution & architecture, network topologies, control logics modification, power plant process control Open/Close Loop Controls, 3rd party interfaces/protocols, system installation/configuration & commissioning etc.
- Project design, basic/detail engineering, testing (including FAT with customers) and commissioning for DCS systems.
- Capabilities for DCS including cabinet/hardware design, system installation / configuration across projects including design reviews, on time delivery, in budget execution etc. for Hydro, Steam, Gas based power plants
- Ability to create BOM on different product life cycle management tools and support manufacturing teams for getting desired system as per customer requirements.
- Identify and communicate technical risk during project execution & site interventions.
- Participate to technical discussion with customers and vendors.
- Knowledge & implementation of Third-party communication e.g., MODBUS, IEC 101/104 and IEC 61850 etc.
- Knowledge of Network / System Architecture and firewall.
- Troubleshooting routine issues in hardware, HMI, networking etc.
- Work Closely with the Engineering, Field Service & Project Managers to deliver the projects as per schedule & customer satisfaction.
- Participate to engineering Optimization, Standardization & Simplification efforts & Establish tools, template & processes to enable faster turnaround and improve productivity.
- Ability to troubleshoot & fix the technical issues related to hardware, software or network faults.
- Able to Travel across India & globe.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience with system design & commissioning of DCS projects.
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills to serve customers in region.
Desired Characteristics
- Having knowledge of ALSPA / MarkVIe system will have added advantage.
- Knowledge of third-party interfaces.
- Knowledge of engineering tools e.g., AutoCAD, E3 for panel design etc.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams
- Self-starter, energizing, results-oriented, and able to multi-task; tenacious and organized
- Demonstrate ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology
- Demonstrate communication, facilitation and influencing skills; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
