Job Description Summary
Team Leader responsible for the successful execution of a portfolio of Behind the Meter large and complex projects within the NAM GSI region. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. This portfolio is currently representing USD 600 M and has the potential to become a 1.5 to 2 BUSD portfolio. In this position, you will:

Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for a portfolio of large, high visibility, potentially high risk projects, including new product introductions, first of a kind solutions, penalties and rewards, accelerated schedules.
- Collaborate with other GEV business units and the PCO team to ensure these large projects are executed efficiently ensuring a positive customer experience
- Responsible for the Contribution Margin of jobs and will play a proactive role in problems identification and resolution.
- Responsible for the On Time Delivery and EHS KPI's of assigned projects.
- Translate customer needs/requirements into detailed project plans, driving internal execution to meet the targets.
- Manage a team of Project Managers.
- Develop enduring and faithful customer relationships while improving project profitability
- Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action
- Engage as required in pre-contract processes during project scope, schedule and cost development
- Interface with other functional teams and support functions to coordinate project development, implementation and control
- Interface with providers, subcontractors and customers to align project specifications and requirements
- Ensure safety procedures on site and strict adherence to quality standards
- Implement common processes within team which result in improved quality and efficiency in project delivery. Drive Project Management programs and processes that are consistent with business initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 15 years experience in project management of electrical substations and / or power projects of MUSD 500 minimum
- Successful experience of managing a team of Project Managers
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
Desired Characteristics
- Prior experience in managing high voltage electrical utility projects
- Previous responsibility for projects or programs involving multiple businesses and/or functions across the entire project cycle - development and design through manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning and test acceptance
- Ability to manage external, customer-facing projects to successful completion
- Ability to apply advanced technical, engineering, and quality assurance concepts to solve practical business problems
- Experience working with global teams and partners
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service quality in all aspects of project delivery
- Ability to successfully interface with executive level management within both the sponsor and customer organizations
- Ability to apply and coach managerial and leadership concepts and techniques (plan, execute, direct, coach, mentor, evaluate and control)
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- PMI certification; familiarity with modern project management techniques & software systems, including global resource planning systems and Primavera project management software
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
- Familiarity with contractual terms and experience managing customer-facing contracts
- Familiarity with preparation of proposals for complex substations, including international work
PLEASE NOTE: Oakbrook Terrace, Il is the preferred location, however other U.S. locations may be considered
The salary range for this position is $170,300.00 - $227,000.00 USD Annual The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive performance bonus of 15%.
