Job Description Summary

By joining the Project Execution Structuring team, you will be an engineer that transforms customer requirements into the Bill of Materials (BOM) for Gas Turbines. You will be at the intersection of engineering, systems, quality, and process improvement, while contributing to the successful execution of real customer projects.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • BOM Governance & Execution: Lead the creation, maintenance, and release of Engineering and Unit BOMs for Gas Turbine technology, ensuring absolute accuracy and adherence to configuration management principles.
  • Operational Excellence: Own and deliver on critical KPIs (Say/Do Ratio, Quality Metrics). Develop and sustain Standard Work to minimize variance and increase team throughput.
  • Systems Integration: Serve as a trusted expert for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and ERP systems. Identify and implement tool enhancements that streamline workflows. Ability to identify data inconsistences between systems (PLM, ERP).
  • Digital Transformation: Serve as the team's innovator. Design and deploy automated solutions using programming (Python/SQL/scripting) and AI tools to transform raw product data into actionable insights. Develop dashboards for operational metrics.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with Global Technical Leaders and Senior Engineers to solve complex configuration problems and lead cross-functional initiatives that impact breakthrough objectives.
  • Change Management: Lead the implementation of Bill of Material changes, ensuring global data integrity and systemic consistency across platforms.

Minimum Job Requirements (Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Core Configuration Management: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end BOM management, including Engineering and Unit BOM release processes.
  • ERP/PLM Proficiency: Deep familiarity with ERP environments (SAP, PowerMax, or similar) and understanding of database structures.
  • Programming & Innovation: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) or data automation tool (e.g., Alteryx, Power Query). Proven interest or experience in applying AI/Machine Learning concepts to automate data-heavy tasks.
  • Data Literacy: Strong ability to analyze big datasets to identify trends, quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Communication: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Must possess the ability to lead technical discussions in English with global stakeholders.
  • Leadership Presence: Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and present complex data strategies to senior leadership.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven record of moving implementing technical solutions.
