Job Description Summary

As the Product Owner for Enterprise Applications (ARAS), you will serve as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution within our PLM ecosystem. You are responsible for defining the platform vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities to drive operational efficiency and system scalability. A key component of this role is maintaining a continuous feedback loop with subject matter experts to ensure that ARAS configurations accurately mirror complex business processes and deliver high-value digital solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Direct the development and maintenance of the ARAS module roadmap, ensuring it supports enterprise scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and Digital Technology teams to ensure cohesive cross-functional outcomes.
  • Requirement Management: Lead the discovery and formalization of business requirements, ensuring solutions are well-defined and validated before execution.
  • Value Driven Solution Design: Analyze system functionality to design, develop, and implement value-added, cost-optimized PLM enhancements.
  • Backlog Ownership: Manage the product backlog, including the creation of detailed user stories and the definition of clear acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Manage end-to-end testing processes, including test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Support & Documentation: Provide ongoing support for system issues, curate knowledge management content, and design effective training collateral.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in Business Process Analysis, PLM Product Management, or a comparable role within a complex engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience and proven implementation success with the ARAS PLM platform.
  • Domain Knowledge: Functional and implementation expertise in Part Management, Product Management, Program & Portfolio Management, CAD Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, BoM Management, and ERP integrations (SAP/Oracle etc.,).

  • Leadership: Experience leading large-scale programs in global, matrixed environments with a focus on training others.
  • Technical Literacy: Comprehensive understanding of enterprise database integration and system architecture.
  • Influence: Ability to build consensus among stakeholders and champion holistic, enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Certification: Strong preference for candidates holding industry-standard certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, CM2, or Six Sigma).
