Product Engineer
Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer to join our team and play a key role in driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across product repair and manufacturing activities. This role will serve as a critical technical interface between internal teams, external stakeholders, and production operations, with a strong focus on lean problem-solving, cost reduction, process optimization, and improving product quality.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering foundation, practical manufacturing or repair experience, and a passion for applying lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce non-conformance, improve productivity, and deliver sustainable business results.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for product repair-related discussions and implementation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead technical evaluations and disposition decisions for production and repair challenges, including nonconforming materials, processes, and products.
- Apply lean principles and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and improve process stability and flow.
- Drive productivity and cost-out initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce cycle time, rework, scrap, and other forms of operational waste.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing and repair processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce non-conformance rates.
- Assess technical competency gaps and coordinate targeted training for product line technicians to strengthen capability and ensure sustained performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and best-in-class execution.
- Participate in process validation and verification activities to ensure manufacturing and repair processes meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and track sustained improvement.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities to reduce recurring defects and improve overall product reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, quality, process engineering, or product engineering in a related industry.
- Fresh graduates with a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Power Engineering are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training and development will be provided to support your growth in this role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues and support decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in heavy-duty gas turbine component repairs is highly advantageous.
