Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Lead to drive the transformation of our product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. This role will be pivotal in consolidating PLM tools across five separate regions/teams into one common platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering leadership, project management, and PLM systems, with a proven track record of successful large-scale transformations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the strategic plan for the PLM transformation initiative.
    • Align the transformation goals with the overall business objectives and regional requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with regional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure alignment and buy-in.
    • Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts between different regions and teams.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire transformation project, ensuring it stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
    • Define project milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a cross-functional engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Ensure the selected PLM platform meets the technical requirements of all regions while enabling product platforming.
    • Oversee the integration of existing systems with the new platform.
    • Manage data migration and ensure data integrity throughout the transformation.

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to address emerging issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, progress, and outcomes.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
    • Evidence of at least one large-scale transformation project
    • Deep understanding of PLM tools and methodologies through 5 years of experience in PLKM related activities.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Strong project management skills with certifications such as PMP preferred.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Experience with global transformations across multiple regions.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific PLM solutions
    • Knowledge of global product development
    • Master's degree preferred.

    For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $152,400.00 and $254,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
