Parts Lead Logistics Specialist
Job Description Summary
The Lead Logistics Specialist is managing global logistics portfolio in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. The Lead Logistics Specialist participate and lead logistics related projects globally, supports global customer delivery through operational excellence. The Lead Logistics Specialist is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, finding optimal mode and way of transportation and obtaining best possible transportation rates.
Job Description
Main tasks:
- Supervise and optimize global shipments, improve on time delivery and cost efficiency of customer deliveries through Lean approach
- Ensure Transport Management System (OTM) and process compliance and integrity, lead associated development and implementation efforts
- Evaluate and drive transport mode and service level optimization, lead regionalized delivery strategy and global consolidation efforts
- Monitor and improve contractual coverage with freight forwarders, ensure smooth freight payment
- Investigate logistics non-conformances, identify, lead and record corrective actions
- Manage or supervise execution of high-value and business critical deliveries from pickup to delivery locations
- Work cross functionally with international stakeholders, members of the Gas Power Logistics team and business operations related to the logistics strategy and execution
- Monitor and report the financial performance and KPIs, initiate and drive new digital tool introductions to enhance KPI visibility
- Contribute budgetary planning and validate data accuracy, create financial reports, analysis and statistics
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent college degree - focus in Logistics preferred
- Operational and/or project management experience
- International logistics experience: transportation, customs, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, free trade agreements, accreditives
- English and Hungarian language on advanced level
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills, ability to work independently
- Comfortable in matrixed cross-functional environments
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Computer skills (must be competent in MS Excel, Power Point)
