OSR- Steam Turbine Blader / Machinist
Job Description Summary
The On-Site Repair (OSR) Steam Turbine Blader and Machinist Apprentice will serve as-on the-job assistant and trainee, in the various repairs on rotating steam turbine blades and machining work of steam turbines components and machining repair work on gas turbine components. A Steam Turbine Blader technician will be required to perform complicated operations involving dismantling, assembling, reassembling, and repairing on Power Generation Turbines. The Blader will be responsible for re-blade, repair, welding and assembly Turbine components (ST rotors, diaphragms, casings, valves). As well as fulfilling necessary training required. This role requires recurrent travel by both air and road to and from site locations throughout Mexico and the Latin America Countries.
Job Description
- Previous experience in manufacturing, repair, machining operations with conventional equipment and CNC equipment (desired), mechanical work experience on turbomachinery components.
- Operation of various machine tools involving close tolerance work and intricate setups.
- Operation of various hand tools to complete assignments.
- Ability to read and decipher prints/drawings.
- ST Blader will perform related duties as assigned and may direct others.
- Conducts him/herself in a professional manner at all times and is willing to lead by example and teamwork.
- Demonstrates strong EHS values, consistently participates in Safety Meetings, Safety Calls and EHS Observations Program.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites on short notice, both domestically and internationally, as required

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years classroom or on the job Machinist experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Possess a valid passport or Eligibility for immigration documents (passport and work visas/permits)
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts
- Ability and willingness to climb ladders and stairs as required
- Ability and willingness to walk/stand for up to 12 hours as required
- Ability and willingness to lift to 25 kilograms as required
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain nuclear clearance

- Ability and willingness to complete a physical and other evaluations for hearing and respirator use upon hire and annually thereafter
- Ability to incorporate teamwork into daily operating and safety work tasks
- Ability to use and read measurement devices such as inside/outside micrometers and dial calipers/indicators.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions
- Comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety policies
- Ability to accept feedback and deal calmly and effectively under high-stress situations
