Nuclear Site Manager
Job Description Summary
The Site Manager at Clinch River is responsible for the oversight and execution of construction, installation, and commissioning on the customer site. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle from site mobilization through civil works, erection, and commissioning, alongside associated management activities. The Site Manager owns and influences site budgets and operating plans, operating under established company policy. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role demands high levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen to ensure all site operations align with company objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements, quality, and efficiency while fostering a productive work environment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Site Operations & Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the full scope of site activities during the Inquiry to Order (ITO) and/or Order to Remittance (OTR) phases for construction, installation, and commissioning. Act as the primary on-site leader, directly reporting to the Project Director..
- Team & Resource Management: Manage, lead, and develop the site team, including contractors and sub-contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Efficiently manage all site resources and logistics, including equipment, materials, and facility maintenance.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and cost parameters in compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Proactively monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies. Leverage expertise to find creative solutions for business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence through regular site inspections and audits. Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services, utilizing an understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Maintain accurate site records, including comprehensive progress reports, daily logs, safety documentation, and quality control checks. Effectively communicate complex messages and negotiate internally to gain alignment, influencing peers and presenting business or technical solutions to leaders. Also, engage and potentially negotiate with external partners, vendors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Safety & Quality Assurance: Implement and rigorously enforce comprehensive safety programs and protocols to ensure a zero-incident culture and uphold the highest quality standards on site.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in site management or a similar leadership role, preferably in a relevant industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, construction methods, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA 30).
- Experience specifically within the Clinch River area or similar operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management
- Extensive understanding of power generation and the nuclear industry

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
