Job Description Summary
As a Network & Cybersecurity Senior Engineering Manager, you will be leading Engineering team and working across two engineering disciplines. Solution and engineering centre (NPI, ITO, OTR and Product Care) in all aspects of HVDC Control & Protection Network & Cybersecurity, supports the design and implementation of Network & Cybersecurity by analysing customer requirements, assessing the necessary deviation from standard solutions, and also provide technical solution that meets the project delivery and Tender objectives.
This includes working with the Global Network & Cybersecurity Leader on the following,
• Developing organizational talent
• Engineering process management
• Provide technical guidance.
• Drive consistent design practices and common global processes for projects
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- As a Network & Cybersecurity Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that designs, develops, configuration and Verification of HVDC Control & Protection Network & Cybersecurity, drive consistent design practices, common global processes for projects implementation and also provide technical solution that meets the project and Tender objectives.
- Responsible for overall design of secure networks and Communication Architectures of the HVDC Control System from concept to commissioning based on the principles set out in IEC 62443-3-3.
- Act as the point of contact for all matters related to cybersecurity and networking in a project environment. This includes evaluating the solutions of various 3rd party suppliers which interface to the control system.
- Support Tendering teams during the bidding process for any cybersecurity and networking related requirements from various customers. Knowledge of a range of Cybersecurity regulations such as EU NIS, NERC and BDES is essential.
- Ensures the Secure Deployment Guides for the HVDC Control System and 3rd party system interfaces are adhered to.
- Ensures the Security Assurance Plans are followed by all relevant project stakeholders during the complete project duration.
- Define IP address strategies for the complete control system.
- Able to perform hardening in a substation environment.
- Ensure that project plans contain the necessary activities and studies required to meet the requirements of the customer and the proposed technical solution.
- Responsible for recruiting, coaching, and/or developing organizational talent.
- Responsible for providing direction and/or guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. May supervise non-exempt employees.
- Manage the engineering resources, workload, schedule and project milestones.
- Play a key role in engineering design reviews and technical leadership, identifying potential project risks and technical weaknesses and proposing safe, reliable and compliant solutions.
- Works closely with internal and external customers to arrive at engineering specifications that optimise the commercial potential of new and existing products. Ensures that the available technologies and components are appropriately exploited in product design.
- Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
- Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
- Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
- Define the project work breakdown structure (WBS), resources and skill levels required to meet the delivery timescales.

Qualifications / Essential Requirements
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or related field.
- Strong background in Networking & Cybersecurity fields.
- Proven experience implementing cybersecurity network.
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet based protocols.
- Knowledge of communication networks Security/Hardening and Cybersecurity best practices
- Excellent knowledge of commonly used Layer2&3 protocols such as Ipv4, OSPF, LACP, DMZ, VPN/ DMS/ADMS/ DNP, IEC, Modbus.
- Proven technical leadership in a complex system engineering development environment.
- Preferably experience in control and protection system design.
- Mandatory to have industrial background.
