Mechanical Lead and Maintenance

Job Description Summary

The Mechanical Team Lead is responsible for managing a team that covers all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance on the Power plant and ensuring safety, reliable and efficient plant operations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the mechanical maintenance team in the day-to-day maintenance activities
  • Develop, supervise and co-ordinate plant maintenance activities
  • Execute work order through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and co-ordinate within the team for job completion and technical matters
  • Maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work and material handling
  • Manage site EHS compliance activities (EHS KPI' s, inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, etc.)
  • Utilize site EMS system (Gensuite) to record and track site EHS activities (training, incident reporting, incident investigation, etc.)
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Fluent in the Japanese language and in English (both verbal and written)
  • Recognized technical qualification in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a Combined Cycle Power Plant
  • Good knowledge of typical mechanical tools and equipment's
  • Knowledge of different maintenance types used in the industry
  • Three years' experience as mechanics in industrial environment, preferably in a CCPP environment
  • Handling of machine tools (e.g. lathe) for modifications, repair and production of small spare parts
  • Able to work unsupervised on mechanical tasks at the Power Station as needed
  • The jobholder shall be medically fit to undertake the full duties of the post

  • Prior experience with GE O&M in same capacity is preferred
  • Knowledge of GE products, services, and processes
  • Understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) like Maximo
  • Prior customer interface experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computer tools
