Mechanical Drafting Specialist

Job Description Summary

To create 2D & 3D drawings of standard /special power transformers based on customer's specification and to prepare designs, calculations, drawings and bill of materials for procurement, quality, test and manufacturing functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical drawings by using CAD tools and engineering calculation methods
• Following up the mechanical drawings' lifecycle from beginning to the delivery of internal customers
• Following non-conformance reports and to ensure to be taking necessary preventive actions
• Able to design independently and advise improvement actions
• Attend engineering & production reviews to produce error free designs & reliable products, to reduce the cost of non-quality and to insure adequate performance of the unit
• Preparing the mechanical design drawings, considering international rules and national standards, using the appropriate GE standards and tools, relying on material specifications (technical understandings, costs, procurement loop), and manufacturing capabilities
• Aware of the company and local EHS policies, rules and standards. Showing exemplary behaviors on EHS. Performing the preventive/corrective actions in collaboration with EHS team to avoid the accidents, incidents and environmental damages

• Minimum technical school graduation
• Minimum 1 year experience in mechanic design area in specifically
• Knowledge of 2D & 3D Cad Software (Autodesk, AutoCAD and Inventor)
• Willing to work at Gebze plant at least 4 days per week
• Ability to live in Istanbul & Kocaeli

• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure in a complex organizational environment
• Experience in the transformer sector, particularly MPT/LPT design, is a strong asset
