Manufacturing Specialist - Material Plan & Execution

Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Manage and develop Procurement / Buyers team. Close cooperation with sourcing team as well as with Generator Value Stream network to secure final goods delivery on time, in budget and required quality. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes, systems, purchasing needs and Alignment with Global supply chain requirements.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and supply chain KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Analyze & Review supplier performance on periodical basis & Propose improvement actions by adopting advanced Lean concepts & strategic actions.
  • Manage problems and schedule changes via Problem solving methodologies.
  • POs review and approval & Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Engaging factory cross-function teams to ensure proper Procurement strategies execution.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
  • Focused on execution of activities within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication with Minimum of 5-6 Years of Experience.
  • Experience as a procurement manager or in a similar position.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MOS, 8D & Lean Tools
  • Preferably certified Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead the teams.
  • Strong Knowledge in logistics management.
