Job Description Summary
Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations support across 17 global factories within the Power Transmission Electrification business. This role serves as the primary operational lead for manufacturing transformation initiatives, responsible for investment management, capacity adaptation projects, industrial standardization, manufacturing community development, and operational improvement. The position requires building a high-performing team of 5-7 professionals and keeping close collaboration with the Robotics & Automation group to ensure integrated deployment of manufacturing strategies. This leader will drive operational excellence through Lean principles, global standardization, and strategic investment allocation to support business growth and competitiveness.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Investment Allocation & Portfolio Management
- Lead capital investment allocation process across manufacturing network, ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource distribution.
- Chair investment review meetings and manage approval governance processes to enable timely decision-making.
- Monitor and track spending performance versus plan across all units; conduct variance analysis and implement corrective actions to achieve budget targets.
- Drive continuous improvement of investment management processes using Lean principles to reduce cycle time and enhance decision quality.
- Maintain investment portfolio oversight including risk management and ROI tracking.

Factory Capacity & Expansion Projects
- Support with his team the major capacity adaptation projects across the factory network, primarily focused on production increases to meet market demand.
- Help some critical product localization initiatives to optimize regional manufacturing strategies and serve specific market requirements.
- Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and meeting quality/performance specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (commercial, engineering, supply chain, regional teams) under the guidance of the PT operations leader to align capacity projects with business needs.
Manufacturing Community & Capability Development
- Build and sustain a robust industrial community across 17 factories to foster collaboration, networking, and knowledge sharing.
- Help to launch and coordinate global training programs based on comprehensive skills gap assessments to elevate manufacturing capabilities.
- Manage industrial product referent team members who provide specialized manufacturing support across factories with varying product portfolios.
- Facilitate systematic best practice sharing between units and drive targeted improvement actions for common products addressing top pain points.
- Create forums and mechanisms for continuous learning and cross-site collaboration.
Industrial Process Standardization & Harmonization
- Lead standardization initiatives across factories manufacturing the same products, aligning work instructions, tools, processes, and equipment where feasible.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing standards that balance global consistency with necessary local flexibility.
- Support the standardization Implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement through process harmonization.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
- Support deployment of new industrial processes related to new product introductions across the manufacturing network.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness including appropriate processes, tooling, training, and resources for successful NPI launches.
- Capture and apply lessons learned to improve future NPI processes.
Robotics & Automation Integration
- Maintain close collaboration with the Robotics & Automation team on initiatives where operational and automation strategies intersect.
- Ensure robotics and automation roadmap deployments integrate effectively with broader manufacturing operations and investment plans.
- Facilitate resource coordination between operational teams and robotics specialists when project scopes overlap.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of 5-7 manufacturing professionals.
- Set clear objectives, provide coaching and feedback, and develop talent pipeline.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Drive team engagement and create an inclusive environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field from an accredited university or college
- Master's degree (MBA, Engineering Management, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, or operations management within industrial/manufacturing environments
- Proven track record managing significant capital investment portfolios (€50M) and budget oversight.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale capacity expansion, factory establishment, or product localization projects.
- Experience working in global manufacturing environments coordinating across multiple sites and regions.
- Background in heavy electrical equipment, power systems, transformers needed.
Technical Competencies
- Deep expertise in manufacturing operations, industrial processes, and production systems
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies (
- Proficiency in capital investment analysis, business case development, ROI modeling, and financial planning
- Experience leading standardization initiatives and process harmonization across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Understanding of NPI processes, manufacturing readiness assessments, and product launch support
