What impact you'll make

As Manufacturing Engineer Coating (f/m/d), you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering New make team in the gas turbine hot gas parts department and give technical support to the production and engineering teams.
Through process and cost optimization, you will maintain the competitiveness of organization and drive results for our customers.

Job Description

What you'll do

• Process owner responsibility for VPS, APS and HVOF processes
• Technical point of contact for process qualification, Frozen process changes and production issues
• Lead process development, qualification, and technical documentation creation for coating processes on components under your responsibility
• Implement initiatives that improve overall production safety, quality, delivery, and cost for all relevant processes
• Coaching, mentoring, supporting junior team members
• Use data to analyze process capability, identify improvements and ensure process stability to improve overall quality
• Life Cycle management of all internal post cast processes on gas turbine parts
• Provide technical support to RCA/8Ds and execute CAPA implementation tasks

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Engineering Bachelor's Degree in a suitable discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of coating processes on precision casted nickel-based superalloys
• Experience in a manufacturing, operations, HGP engineering environment
• Demonstrated experience in at least one coating process such as VPS, APS or HVOF
• Knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement methods
• Fluent in both German and English
