Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description Summary
The Circuit Breaker Operations Engineer will be directed by the Operations Manager to lead and support actions that help achieve the factory targets. This position will be responsible for investigating disruptions and problems in production, identifying the root cause of the issues that are impacting safety, quality, and productivity and lead and help implement improvements that reduce and eliminate disruptions. This position will help drive lean projects that bring improvement including 5S, standard work, problem solving, and daily management. This position helps support the supervisors with various duties and will coordinate activities with the Production teams, Quality, Lean, and Engineering to support the production needs of the business.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Investigating problems and disruptions in production, identifying the root cause of the issues.
- Defining and implementing process improvements that impact safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Working with production and support teams to eliminate disruption, bottlenecks, and improve flow in the process.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient area for the employees working in assigned product area.,
- Comply with EHS regulations and policies, and supporting the resolution of EHS concern reports as required.
- Lead lean activities for operations, ensuring standard work, 5S, daily management, problem solving, QA procedures and manufacturing documentation are in place and current.
- Support supervisors and teams in managing tooling needs.
- Support training needs as required.
- Support Lean initiatives, Kaizen events and other quality activities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering/Technical area. Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 Years experience working in manufacturing environment.
Experience
- Strong Lean manufacturing experience required, leading kaizen improvement projects.
- Experience with Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, and preventative actions.
- Experience with tooling and fixture design and implementation.
- Experience with 3D model software. i.e. ProE, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
- Experience with production line layout, process flows & design improvement.
- Experience working cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
- Dead Tank Circuit Breaker experience preferred.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
