Job Description Summary

The Major Correctives Training Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and continuously improving training content and learning solutions for North America teams supporting Major Correctives operations, including Blade Repair and Major Component Upgrade work scopes. This role ensures training materials reflect field execution needs, technical requirements, safety expectations, and evolving platform and technology demands.
The Major Correctives Training Specialist will work closely with field teams, frontline leaders, the Major Correctives Technical Specialist, the Major Correctives Safety Leader, and other key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop practical, field-relevant training materials. Once training content is developed, this role will partner with the Training and Learning team to plan implementation, support rollout, and ensure effective delivery to the field.
This role also owns the ongoing update and enhancement of training materials through a continuous improvement mindset, incorporating field feedback, lessons learned, new technologies, procedural changes, and platform growth requirements. The ideal candidate will combine training program development capability, cross-functional coordination skills, and knowledge of wind field operations or industrial technical training environments.

Key Responsibilities

Training Content Development

  • Develop training materials and learning content to support Major Correctives operations, including Blade Repair and Major Component Upgrade activities
  • Partner with field teams, frontline leaders, the Major Correctives Technical Specialist, and the Major Correctives Safety Leader to gather field input and ensure content reflects real execution requirements
  • Translate field practices, technical processes, safety expectations, lessons learned, and operational needs into clear, structured training materials
  • Support creation of training content including instructor guides, participant materials, task-based learning modules, practical exercises, job aids, assessments, and reference tools
  • Ensure materials align with approved procedures, technical standards, quality requirements, and EHS expectations
  • Develop content that supports both current work scopes and the scaling of new technologies, methods, and turbine platforms

Training Implementation Planning

  • Partner with the Training and Learning team to plan rollout and implementation of newly developed or revised training materials
  • Coordinate implementation timing based on operational priorities, workforce readiness needs, campaign schedules, and business demand
  • Support training deployment plans, audience identification, sequencing, and delivery readiness
  • Ensure the Training and Learning team has the information and documentation needed to deliver training effectively
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm that implementation plans support execution readiness across field teams

Continuous Improvement and Content Maintenance

  • Own the ongoing review, update, and enhancement of training content for Major Correctives operations
  • Maintain a continuous improvement approach by incorporating:

    • field feedback
    • lessons learned
    • quality findings
    • safety observations
    • technical updates
    • new technology introductions
    • platform growth requirements
  • Review training materials regularly to ensure relevance, accuracy, usability, and alignment to current field needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve content structure, learning effectiveness, standardization, and accessibility
  • Update training materials to support changes in procedures, tooling, methods, technology, and business priorities

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with:

  • Gather and synthesize input from multiple stakeholders to build practical, relevant, and scalable training content
  • Facilitate alignment on training priorities, content updates, and rollout needs
  • Help ensure training strategy supports operational readiness and workforce capability objectives

Training Governance and Standardization

  • Help drive consistency and standardization in training materials across Major Correctives work scopes
  • Ensure training documentation is current, controlled, and aligned with internal processes
  • Support governance around training content lifecycle, version control, and update tracking
  • Promote repeatable development and review processes for new and revised learning materials
  • Support alignment between training content and qualification or capability requirements, as applicable

Key Accountabilities

The Major Correctives Training Specialist is accountable for:

  • Developing high-quality training content that reflects field execution, safety, and technical requirements
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure training materials are practical, accurate, and relevant
  • Planning training implementation in partnership with the Training and Learning team
  • Maintaining and improving training content to support changing business, technology, and platform needs
  • Ensuring a structured and continuous process exists for content updates and improvement
  • Supporting operational readiness by aligning training material development with Major Correctives workforce needs
  • Driving consistency and standardization across training materials for Blade Repair and Major Component activities
  • Serve as a key owner of training content development for Major Correctives operations
  • Act as a connector between field execution needs and training implementation processes
  • Ensure training materials remain relevant, scalable, and aligned to business growth
  • Drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness, content quality, and update responsiveness
  • Support a strong culture of learning, standardization, and execution readiness

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in training development, learning program coordination, technical documentation, workforce capability, or a related field
  • Experience working in a field operations, technical service, industrial, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or wind environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop structured training materials or technical learning content
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical, operational, and field-based stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and update cycles in a dynamic operating environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in wind services, especially Blade Repair, Major Component Exchange, or other corrective field operations
  • Experience partnering with field teams and subject matter experts to build technical training content
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, or technical training development methods
  • Experience working with Learning and Development or Training teams to implement training programs
  • Understanding of field safety, quality, and procedural requirements in industrial or wind service environments
  • Experience maintaining controlled documentation, revision history, and training content governance
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, technical communication, engineering technology, business, or related field
  • Experience supporting training for new technology, platform expansion, or operational scaling efforts

Travel Requirements

  • Travel may be required based on field engagement, stakeholder workshops, training implementation needs, and business priorities
  • Estimated travel: 50%, depending on role design and location

Work Environment

This role may be a combination of office, training, and field environments. Periodic field visits may be required to gather input, validate training relevance, observe work execution, and support implementation planning. The role may require engagement at wind sites, service facilities, and training locations.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $78,800.00 and $131,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
