Job Description Summary
The lean Leader will work on cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification. This includes providing change leadership, Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives. Will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities / Execution:
- Create the Lean vision and implement a Lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste.
- Work closely and take input from Value Stream Lean leader as well as external coaches
- Participate in learning events across GE and externally as appropriate
- Use GE lean training guides as both methodology and tool for improvement
- Lead the Lean implementation at the plant and drive cross-functional results.
- Become the expert on Lean for the plant through on hand experience in internal and external AWO's plus self-education.
- Lead and develop Lean Facilitators. Build and develop a moonshine team and moonshine shop.
- Support early integration of Lean principles in product design & process development for New Product Introductions.
- Drive measurable improvements in lead-time, customer delivery, productivity, inventory and product flow.
- Develop value stream maps for the Organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of Lean techniques
- Guide plant teams in developing and executing Lean plans to monitor and increase overall productivity managing multiple value streams, serving as a recognized expert and resource leader for focus areas, process rigor, and delivering significant simplification results.
- Establish and drive a Gemba walk methodology that drives cross functional focus on the production line and quickly solves impediments to flow.
- Assist in Lean plan execution by leading Action Work Outs (AWOs) developing simple solutions to the elimination of "monuments", developing pull systems where flow is not possible, training personnel, and other activities to achieve world-class process flow
- Manage / Oversee business Plant & Equipment budget to help ensure projects are implemented on time with Lean principles incorporated.
- Initiating sustainable process improvements to exceed customer expectations while using lean strategies to drive continuous process improvement.
- Encourage use of Lean tools to pull material from suppliers and internal sources / customers
- Train site on Lean concepts and mentor people using Lean tools
- Prepare Lean review presentations and present to business leaders on Lean business reviews.
- Prepare operational budgets to fund Lean annual activities and estimate productivity gains.
- Own the Ideas are Free program and measure full plant integration into a working Problem-solving culture.
- Active participation in mandatory EHS trainings and events.
- Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules.
- Immediately report the incidents and near misses to the direct reports and EHS dept.
- Immediately shut down the operation when realized life or serious injury risk present.
- Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5+ years of experience within a lean manufacturing environment, (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.)
- Lean Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Lean tools (e.g., Hoshin, 3P, VSM, Daily Management, etc.) and Six Sigma principles.

- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving cultural change, particularly in high-performance manufacturing environments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct root cause analysis, problem-solve, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead effective training sessions.
- Change Agent: A results-driven leader with the ability to influence and sustain Lean practices across the organization.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement: A passion for driving operational excellence, always looking for new ways to improve processes and deliver value to customers.
- Humble and Openness: A leader who is open to coaching and change and who effectively translates learning into actions with the site teams.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification is preferred. Formal Lean Certification or equivalent training in Lean methodologies is a plus.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment, building relationships across diverse teams and departments.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple Lean projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering results within budget and on time.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
