Lean Engineer

Job Description Summary
Lean Engineer primary responsibility is coach and facilitate lean initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, minimizing waste, and enhancing operational efficiency at Gebze plant.

The position will leverage lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement across the facility.

In this role, you will coach and lead problem-solving activities and continuous improvement workshops, targeting enhancements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. You will collaborate closely with various departments within the value stream to achieve these objectives.

Job Description

Rules and Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage lean initiatives across the organization to drive process optimization and efficiency
• Coach cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, waste reduction, and cost savings using lean methodologies. Support the lean roadmap with dedicated actions
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and enhance product quality and reliability
• Provide coaching and training to employees at all levels to foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean thinking
• Utilize data-driven approaches and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Lean initiatives, ensuring sustainable results

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering or a related field
• Good experience in lean management, preferably in the electrification, energy, or transmission sectors
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and robust shop-floor management skills, with a focus on operational excellence
• Demonstrated mastery of Lean methodologies, with formal certifications in Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Agile frameworks
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Verbal and written skills in English and Turkish
• Ability to live in Istanbul & Kocaeli
• Willing to work at Gebze plant
