Lead Systems Project Engineer (m/f/d)
Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Systems Project Engineer to lead the Systems engineering scope execution of large-scale EPC projects from our Berlin office. You will oversee a diverse, international team and drive the successful delivery of the Systems engineering scope on high-impact energy infrastructure High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) substation 1-2B$+ projects.
You will be part of the HVDC Solution Line and a member of our global Systems Engineering department, working alongside experienced project engineering managers across Europe, US, and Asia. In Berlin, you will report directly to the local Systems Engineering leader.

Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Review project planning and flag inconsistencies to ensure smooth project progress
- Monitor and manage systems deliverables (budget and resources) in alignment with the project plan and budget
- Represent systems towards multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to ensure project objectives are fulfilled.
- Responsible for timely deliverables of work packages with quality standards set by projects
- Proactive in raising change requests as and when there is a need based on the process
- Register risks and work effectively to have action plans to mitigate potential risks

- Engineering degree in Electrical, Power Systems, or a related field, i.e.: Electronics, Mechanical
- Several years of experience in Systems Design, Systems Studies or Project Engineering
- Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
- Highly motivated and proactive individual with a positive mentality
- Know-how of the processes and workflow of HVDC systems (Design + Studies)
- Timely reporting of project criticalities / bottlenecks to project management team and brainstorm on solutions
- Ability to handle and perform under tight deadlines and occasional pressure situations
- Willingness to travel on need basis to fulfill project requirements and responsibilities
