Lead Sourcing Specialist - Sourcing Initiatives
Job Description Summary
In this role you will partner with internal and external cross functional stakeholders to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across SQDC priorities for Configured Systems commodity team ($2B+ annual spend) to define, improve and enable processes and standard work, ensuring internal customer satisfaction. The job requires in-depth understanding of key business drivers, data analytics and lean mindset. You will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own sourcing specific ERPs, processes and tools. Review and improve processes. Work on special initiatives.
- Leverage Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements and waste elimination. Interact with other GE business sourcing teams and participate in companywide strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Lead complex projects with multiple internal cross functional stakeholders. Explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus and apply knowledge to issues with impact.
- Propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address complex problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Develop business case. Use technical experience and analytical thinking. Use multiple internal and external sources to arrive at decisions.
- Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in strategic sourcing. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
- Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Explains difficult concepts.
- Uses judgment to influence others on topics within field.
- Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 2-3 years of experience in Sourcing OR High School Diploma/GED plus 4-5 years of experience in Sourcing
- Prior experience working in a complex global matrixed organization
- Prior experience in lean six sigma problem solving methodology and driving continuous improvement projects

- Strong quantitative and data research skills to perform spend analytics, DMAIC / Lean problem solving
- Strong project management and process improvement skills; change agent with ability to influence at all levels
- Strong oral and written communication skills to present complex technical and commercial topics clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to challenge the status quo and collaborate across stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with objective, factual, and data-driven approach
- Ability to drive ideation to action by translating strategy into tactical execution with urgency
- Prior GE leadership program experience (OMLP, FMP, CAS)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $94,600.00 and $157,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
