Job Description Summary
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Oversee system installation, troubleshooting, project management, and customer satisfaction. Drive system installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations. Troubleshoot installed products for customer sites, including accurate and timely settlement of all warranty claims from assigned customers. Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction. Coordinate additional opportunities to serve the customer with the customer service team, parts, other Field Service Engineers (FSEs), repair services, sales, and product engineering teams. Oversee the maintenance activities for the customer and plan for inspections. Provide support to engineering teams working on customer CMU projects. Develop presentations and provide training and instruction to customers on system operations. Promote sales of maintenance services. Perform other related engineering tasks to facilitate proper commissioning and customer satisfaction. Provide on-call support in response to customer calls for service. Ensure appropriate responses and services are provided to customer. Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements. Advise the customer of recommended upgrades, parts, and service opportunities to improve customer productivity and sell GE parts and services. Support the bidding process for the customer Control and Machine Upgrade (CMU) projects. Support business growth opportunities and marketing campaigns.

Job Description
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related. Five (5) years of progressive experience in DC drive systems in a customer facing role. Work experience to include: Two (2) years of experience working with power conversion or system controllers (for example: PEC, PECe, or CDC); Low-Voltage (LV) and Medium-Voltage (MV) drive technology to include: LV7000, DC Drives 2100E, SD7000, MV3000or MV7000; Onshore and offshore installation and commissioning project management; Motor Control Centers (MCC), or Power Control Centers (PCC); Transformer feeders, Generators, and Solar Inverter; Communication protocols including: Ethernet, Profibus, and Modbus; Executing performance tests for the complete drive systems including automation and troubleshooting. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. 100% remote position reporting to GE Energy Power Conversion USA, Inc. offices in Imperial, PA. Candidate may live anywhere in the continental U.S. Approximately 50% domestic and 10% international travel required to unanticipated customer and project sites to orchestrate system installation, troubleshooting and commissioning activities. Travel expenses paid by employer.
