Lead Project Engineering Manager
Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to take part to the engineering execution of large-scale EPC projects from our Noida office. You will oversee a diverse, international team and drive the successful delivery of specific engineering scopes on high-impact energy infrastructure High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) substation 1-2B$+ projects.
You will be part of the Product Delivery Group (PDG) and a member of our global Project Engineering Management (PEM) department, working alongside experienced project engineering managers across Europe, US, and Asia. In India, you will report directly to the UK India team leader, contributing to a dynamic and diverse community of PEMs.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Project Engineering Manager, you will have the responsibility of a scope of engineering works o execute for complex HVDC projects, ensuring alignment with project goals in terms of safety, schedule, cost, quality, and technical requirements.
- Manage and deliver the sub discipline HVDC PDG scope of work for a project under senior PEM supervision, focusing on the close adherence to the global time schedule of HVDC PDG engineering scope, ensuring the coherency of links between engineering activities and other discipline functions activities (procurement, construction, commissioning) and anticipate and mitigate project delivery issues of concerned activities.
- Support to senior PEM to prepare a comprehensive project report as part of the governance of the PDG and as part of the reporting process for the overall project.
- Ensure that the provided resources are used efficiently and working in accordance with the established processes via rigorous and open collaboration with the engineering functions.
- Plan and manage technical interfaces of sub disciplinary function, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customers, and third-party contractors.
- Accountable for project delivery Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and budget for sub discipline PDG scope including with suitable quality of partner documents.
- Providing leadership and supporting senior PEM to ensure the reference solution and the agreed gaps are delivered by NPI teams in accordance with the project technical specifications and rigorously enforcing the change process and policy on any deviations.
- Leading and directing sub disciplinary project team to deliver PDG engineering scope according to DOR and manage in conjunction with senior PEM Day to day activities.
- Conduct along with senior PEM project risk review meeting and update risk register with mitigation plan when required.
- Request/attend/ support Customer technical meetings when needed/upon request.
- Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimization in all design phase and mainly during basic design.
- Support to Engineering project teams ROE according to unit process.
- Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes defined at Unit, project level, and in EMH and Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.

Desired Profile and Experience
- Engineering degree level or equivalent education in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as Project Engineering Manager or similar role in EPC environment
- Strong understanding of engineering project lifecycle, technical interfaces and solid experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders, ideally across international and multicultural environments.
- Fluent in English, excellent communication skills, presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages.
- Ability to influence and drive strong decision making, teamwork, and strategize planning
- Ability to travel 20% of the time domestic and international
HVDC experience is a strong asset, but not a prerequisite. We welcome candidates with relevant experience in similar large-scale infrastructure or industrial EPC projects who are eager to learn and contribute to the energy transition.
