Lead Project Control
Job Description Summary
We are looking for Lead Project Control to join our team in Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico. Project Control function is supporting our operations to manage the project schedule & costs of our projects during tendering and project delivery phase to ensure we deliver on-time and within budget. Project Control will participate on project planning, schedule and cost analysis and will work closely with Project Manager and Project team. Project Control is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of operational performance that is both historical and forward looking.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains the project schedule by integrating inputs from all functions, units and third parties contributing to the project.
- Provides contractually required customer reporting and can communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters.
- Provides look ahead, backlog reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and real risk and drive the project priorities.
- Drives a regular cost operating rhythm to discussion risk and opportunities
- Develops cost forecasts based on functional input and analytics, challenges functional estimates where needed
- Checks and controls cost movements, compares with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast. Also Compares with productivity factors and validates accuracy of estimates.
- During the project delivery phase, you will identify, escalate, and support the project team to mitigate potential schedule and cost overrun risks
- During tendering, you support on building logical and feasible schedules that meets customer objectives by leveraging historical durations and lessons learnt there by forming the basis of an accurate cost estimate.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Experience in Project Management, Cost Controlling or Project Planning
- Expertise of Substation Projects principles and work processes of EPC environments and work processes of large EPC Projects.
- Basic knowledge of either MS Project or Primavera P6
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of project management processes and procedures
- Fluency in Spanish and English language

- 5+ year planning and cost management
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Above all we expect you to be a self-starter with high level of flexibility, resilience, and self-learning attitude. As a person, you are a solid team-player with good prioritizing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Portuguese language will be seen as benefit
