Lead Operations Engineer

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 3.5 years of experience in an Engineering role.

Eligibility Requirements:

• The required work location is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy headquarters in Wilmington, NC (financial assistance for relocation provided if not already local)
• This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Desired Characteristics:

• Ability to effectively function in a dynamic design environment and manage the demands of multiple tasks and projects, while maintaining an uncompromised commitment to personal and nuclear safety principles.
• Experience with use of Lean tools to improve productivity.
• Strong MS Excel skills including complex programming of pivot tables.
• Strong Leadership skills including ability to mentor members of the management team.
• Good knowledge and familiarity with the Corrective Action Program.
• Knowledge of working within a regulated environment (nuclear).
• Knowledge of quality standards and systems (e.g., NQA-1 and ISO 9000).
• Experience and/or interest in nuclear power industry.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $85,600.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
