Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate hardware testing activities within the assigned scope of work.
- Own the task list within the assigned scope and ensure it is kept up to date throughout project execution.
- Develop, review, and execute hardware test plans and procedures.
- Review and validate hardware test results to ensure compliance with project and customer requirements.
- Utilize test equipment and software to verify hardware functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware defects and drive corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional design and manufacturing teams.
- Document test results, deviations, and non-conformities in a clear and structured manner.
- Provide technical recommendations and drive continuous improvement of testing methods, processes, and hardware quality.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities related to testing and validation of new products.
- Participate in tendering activities by reviewing customer requirements and ensuring alignment with hardware capabilities.
- Act as the technical focal point for customers on testing-related matters.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and support technical discussions and issue resolution with customers.
- Provide remote technical support for pre-commissioning activities, ensure all required documentation and test checklists are complete and accurate, and support on-site execution when needed.
- Ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and proactively communicate any issues or risks that may impact timely execution.
- Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with schedule, procedures, acceptance criteria, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in hardware testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, or related engineering roles.
- Experience in developing, reviewing, and executing test plans and procedures.
- Ability to review and validate test results and technical documentation.
- Ability to lead testing activities and coordinate with internal teams and customers.
- Fluent written and spoken English. Finnish or other additional language skills are considered plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and customer-facing technical discussions.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware defects and coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Experience participating in tendering activities and reviewing customer technical requirements.
- Experience working with circuit diagrams, layout drawings, and cable/parts lists.
