Lead Engineer - NPI to Fulfillment handoff

Job Description Summary

Lead NPI to Fulfillment handoff engineer for HMI and Standards will be responsible for taking new products from the NPI development team and developing Standard work for Fulfillment teams. This role will work with technical leaders and system architects supporting next generation developments support critical customer infrastructure for the HMI platforms. Engagement will span product offering developments for new units, aftermarket and ITO support.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions and maintain high-quality code according to technical specifications with a focus on operational efficiency and process optimization in Windows and Linux-based environments.
  • Work within collaborative design frameworks, engaging with cross-functional team members to develop and implement robust technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, system architecture, and technical processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates for assigned tasks and manage timelines effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Participate through product development stages driving key process needs for fulfillment.
  • Promote requisition readiness by ensuring proper artifacts are in place for ITO / application engineering & fulfillment.
  • Be the point of contact for fulfillment teams for technical questions and guidance around new product introductions in the HMI & Platform.
  • Work with Technical Leaders, System Architects, and Product Owners to develop documentation and processes for the successful deployment of products.
  • Create customized product documentation for internal and external customers
  • Document standard procedures for product lifecycle stages
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean process implementation.
  • Support field personnel in resolving technical issues and coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and services.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in IoT, Linux development, and industrial automation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master in Electronics Engineering/Computer engineering/software engineering/controls-instrumentation engineering Industrial Automation or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in frontend and backend languages.
  • 5+ years of experience in Control sever/network design
  • Proven ability to influence others, lead multifunctional design teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to influence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience Knowledge of NERC/CIP, IEC 62443 standards
  • Hands-on experience developing software for Linux-based platforms, including system-level programming and shell scripting.

    Practical experience with real-time communication protocols
  • Hands on experience of Network, Hypervisor, Compute, Data, Storage and Application security principles for on-premises/cloud applications
  • Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly
