Lead Engineer - Embedded Systems for the Steam Power, Noida must demonstrate technical excellence in Embedded system software and Board design & development and owns complete product design cycle by conceptualization, detail design, simulations, design calculations and prototyping of the electronic boards as products for Steam Power.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
You will be responsible for following:
Design & Build prototype of Electronic Boards meeting Hardware (Internal & Interface) & software requirements as per Steam Power product needs like controllers for ESP, Boiler by actively involving in all phases of product development life cycle
Lead R&D projects and team for developing AQCS and Boiler controllers
Software programming using Embedded C/ C++.
Analysis of firmware and algorithm requirements
Prepare requirement/concept specification, test plan, test reports and other documents
Perform lab and field testing for evaluation of new concepts
Handling EMI / EMC design issues, High-speed digital design layout issues, placement and routing topology
Support to Engineering & Tender team as per requirement.
Support to standardization/cost out efforts and Ensure continual product improvement
Implement global standards and common processes to assure consistent quality is delivered.
Communicate project status, schedules, upcoming deliverable, and technical solutions between various teams. Method of communications to include, but not limited to, model reviews, design review, construct ability & accessibility reviews, team meetings, etc.
Concurrently work on multiple products and ensure program cost, quality and schedule requirements are met

Bachelor's Degree (BE/BTech) in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with excellent academic track record
Minimum experience of 8 years of Hardware design (controls system components) used in Industries preferably Power Plants/Oil & Gas/ Petro- Chemical Plants
Minimum experience of 6 years of Embedded software development.
ELIGIBILTIY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel 20% of the time, as required
Industrial experience in Firmware development, Board design and has participated in full product design cycle
Proven expertise in conceptualization, detail design, basic simulations, design calculations and prototyping
Experience on microcontroller, DSP, FPGA/CPLD based hardware design, analogue & digital circuit
Experience on Schematic design, simulation & layout using Orcad / Altium
Hands on experience in using testing & debugging tools like emulators, DSO, Logic Analyzer, function generator etc. for board bring-up
Experience in Industrial Product Certification (UL, CE, CISPR standards)
Comfortable in protocols like RS232/485, i2C, SPI, Modbus TCP, Fieldbus, CAN, Profibus, USB
Demonstrated interpersonal, responsive and leadership skills, ability to interface effectively with global counterparts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree from an accredited university or college
Proven experience working in global engineering/ R&D teams.
Knowledge & working experience on Coal Fired & Gas Fired Boilers & Air Quality Control Systems like ESP.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and execute multiple projects at a time.
Ability to influence others and manage small teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
