Job Description Summary
Lead Engineer - Customer Application Engineering responsible for developing customized steam turbine upgrades technical solutions during the tendering (ITO) phase, translating customer requirements into optimized, compliant proposals, managing performance/cost/risk inputs, and supporting commercial teams with technical expertise for competitive bids and customer discussions.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Development of technical proposal documentation for the customer;
- Development of technical solutions and product configurations during the ITO phase and product customization for specific customer needs;
- Analyze customer requirements and define optimized technical scope;
- Management of performance calculations inputs and outputs for technical guarantees purpose;
- Cost management and technical risk management;
- Support commercial teams with technical expertise for competitive bid strategies and during customer negotiations;
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, contract requirements, and internal procedures;
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, commercial, engineering, sourcing, and project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience;
- Experience in application engineering, proposal engineering, or customer-facing technical roles;
- Proven experience in the steam turbines design.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical requirements;
- Knowledge of system configuration, performance analysis, and costing.
- Understanding of key business drivers and customer value considerations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, waste elimination, planning and decision-making skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical communication;
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and build strong customer relationships;
- Tools: MS Office, planning tools (MS Project , Primavera); documentation management tools

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98.400 and $164.000. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
