He/she will operationally support the plant in improving their levels of inventories & turns. The Inventory & Material supervisor is responsible for leading Initiatives & projects in order to improve supply chain.

He/she will operationally support the plant in improving their levels of inventories & turns. The Inventory & Material supervisor is responsible for leading Initiatives & projects in order to improve supply chain.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate actions & Support the plant towards the objective of Material Management 100% through the ERP:

  • MRP Policy: Measure & Improve the material ordering process to put them under control through the right MRP parameters set up - Safety stock, Minimum quantities, lot size, lead time
  • Material data accuracy: driving initiatives & Implementing a continuous process to review material data accuracy

2. Coordinate actions & support the plant towards optimized Procurement mode:

  • Pushing Inventory carrying cost to supplier -Vendor Buffer Stock, consignment, Vendor Advanced Stock- jointly with local Sourcing teams & Procurement teams
  • Promoting in sequence (JIT) material delivery to production - Scheduling agreement, Vendor Managed Inventory, Kanban.

3. Inventory monitoring:

  • Monthly Inventory monitoring & reporting with Material Manager.
  • Driving punctual analysis on excess inventory level according to the priorities SMI, Obsolete, Excess.
  • Work on global initiative as the PSR & the Inventory action plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college; or equivalent experience
  • SAP MM module knowledge
  • Fluency in Italian and English

  • Strong problem solving skills
