Internal Logistics Manager (m/f/d)
Job Description Summary
Responsible for generator / stator shipment from the Factory, correlated components, spare parts and other materials dedicated to individual project scope. Safety , quality, cost control, profit & loss accountability, and customer/stakeholder's satisfaction through management generator / stator shipment related activities and resources. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for shipments planning and execution. The role is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Requires wide cooperation with cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and develop ready goods shipment schedule (incl. stator components, spare parts), work with internal and external stakeholders to define the concept and create a process
- Set and manage stakeholders' expectations, developing a detailed shipment plan, defining the scope and assigning team members to specific tasks
- Keep accountability for every aspect of the outbound shipments, including leading a team capable of meeting or exceeding internal & external customers expectations
- Organize resources that are needed to execute properly generator stator packing, assembly of transportation tools and ordering heavy crane necessary to load standard and oversized stator components on truck or railcar
- Lead internal logistic team
- Perform a risk assessment to minimize potential shipment risk. Manage changes to the project scope, shipment schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Collaborate with Factory Production departments, support functions, Custom department, subcontractors to achieve shipment / project goals
- Supervise preliminary and final Shipment Specification readiness before loading
- Focused on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Deliver, Cost) on day to day routines
- Stay aware of how the project is progressing as well as anticipate delays that may occur and define adequate countermeasures. Report and escalate to management if shipment plan at risk
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust shipment project constraints based on financial analysis
- Manage the relationship with GEV Indirect Sourcing when it comes to shipments cost Handbook
- Collaborate with Procurement team reg. Ariba PO issue for storage area fee
- Use problem solving approach and drive project team to proactively learn from any deviation and to define countermeasure actions
- Document shipments progress / tracking report in comprehensive way and share the status with team and all stakeholders on regular basis
- Ensure access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
- Define, lead and develop Lean , continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, logistic cost reduction

Desired Characteristics
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with SAP/PMX
- MSc/BSc in Engineering, Logistics
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Focus on proactive approach and consistency in tasks monitoring and executing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office or other logistics/shipment related software or database
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams to achieve joint shipment project goals
- Eager for organizational and customer exposure
- CPIM Part 1 recommended
- Proficiency in English & Polish language
- Cross functional experience - able to motivate other efficiently, facilitate collaboration and influence a solutions-oriented culture
