Due to the growth of our HVDC business, we are currently looking for our next HVDC Project Construction Manager (m/f/d) in the "Construction & Commissioning" function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.

Your Mission: You will be based in our Central Europe HVDC Office, and you are responsible for the management of the complete Construction scope of a large scale HVDC project. You are part of the project throughout all project phases, from Engineering phase till Project Handover to the customer.

The HVDC sites are in Germany as well as in Indonesia for the platform construction. The position holder reports to the Region Construction & Commissioning Leader.

This position implies functional leadership as an IC (Individual Contributor) without direct reports.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

1. Construction Planning & Coordination

• Prepare staffing plans, manage site team mobilization, and track actuals versus plan including budget & costs
• Develop & Plan site infrastructure together with the Construction Team
• Ensure the Construction Operating Rhythm is deployed across all sites.
• Coordinate construction activities with the consortium partner (shipyard).
• Work with engineering teams and consortium partners to secure construction-oriented designs.

• Implement, monitor, record, and report EHS performance in line with GE standards, in coordination with site construction staff.
• Monitor key construction activities through sample inspections to ensure contractor compliance with contract requirements and Quality Plans.

• Collaborate with the design office to ensure timely issuance of specifications, designs, BOQs, and material lists needed for site works.

• Monitor, record, and report contractor work progress together with site construction teams.
• Publish progress reports and provide key inputs for monthly project reports to the Project Management Team

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to construction and commissioning activities.

• Electrical Engineering qualification with 5-10 years of experience, or equivalent background in construction execution and site management.
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large substation projects, or similar projects in Power Generation or the Oil & Gas business.
• Strong health and safety mindset aligned with international standards, with the ability to identify and stop unsafe work.
• Solid knowledge of international construction standards, environmental legislation, and regional civil/electrical construction specifications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear verbal and written reporting (English required; German a plus).
• Proactive mindset with the ability to recommend and approve corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region and Asia for project site activities. Travelling time required (30%)
