Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced electrical professional in HV substations, electrical systems, and site execution, including installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV equipment and GIS. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage site crews and subcontractors effectively. Experience with Kahramaa projects and knowledge of Kahramaa standards, safety requirements, and site practices is highly preferred. The role requires a highly organized, proactive individual focused on schedule, quality, risk mitigation, and successful site execution.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise HV substation site activities including installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV equipment and GIS, ensuring all work is executed safely, on schedule, and in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead site crews and subcontractors, providing clear direction, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with applicable standards, including Kahramaa requirements where relevant.
  • Review method statements, site documents, inspection results, and work progress, while proactively identifying risks, resolving site issues, and supporting mitigation actions to maintain safe and efficient execution.
  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact, maintaining effective communication with customers and internal teams, and reporting technical and site execution updates clearly and professionally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of total experience in electrical projects, including strong experience in HV substations, electrical systems, and site execution activities.
  • Proven experience in supervision of installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for HV equipment and GIS.
  • Fluency in English

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in Kahramaa projects.
  • Good knowledge of Kahramaa standards, safety requirements, and site work practices.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to supervise site crews and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review, document, and execute site activities as scheduled.
  • Highly organized, with a strong focus on schedules, quality, and priorities.
  • Proactive in identifying site risks and developing mitigation action plans.
