In this Supplier Engagement Leader role you will have engagement with commodity leadership and fulfillment teams to evaluate supply base strategies and capabilities to execute to plans. Work to ensure supplier performance and scalability for growth and execution to business needs.

Your day will be acting as a leader to enhance supplier processes, capabilities and performance to achieve long term targets. Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop initiatives and improvement plans, developing innovation and capacity within the supply base. The role will support the Material Shipped Direct (MSD), Balance of Plant (BOP) and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) value streams within the HDNU projects sourcing team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with commodity leaders to execute supply strategy
  • Partner with suppliers to improve delivery performance for physical products and supporting documentation
  • Establish daily management processes to support communication of project execution status and risks.
  • Extend lean thinking and execution to suppliers.
  • Using Problem Solving and Lean Tools, lead cross-functional teams identifying systemic causes of delivery delays and implementing long term improvement actions.
  • Provides technical expertise in areas such as process development, capacity planning, inventory requirements and operational management within a project based environment
  • Coach, train and mentor sourcing organization members, on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 10 years of experience Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations or Project Management in Power Generation or EPC companies

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Employment is based upon successful background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to travel to supplier facilities up to 25-35%
  • Must be willing and able to work EST time zones

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's Degree in a Technical or Business discipline
  • 8+ years of Sourcing Experience for Power Generation products; preferably with a focus on plant equipment accessories (MSD, BOP, HRSG)
  • Lean tool set (A3, VSM, Problem Solving)
  • High motivation and influencing skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal / facilitation skills
  • Proactive self-starter and change agent
  • Strong analytical and process mindset
  • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet and Tableau

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
