Job Description Summary

The Global Sourcing Diversification & Performance Leader is accountable for delivering functional, business, and enterprise objectives by developing and diversifying a high-performing global supply base to reduce supply chain risk and increase resiliency. This role will lead global sourcing development and supplier diversification initiatives for Combustion and Small Parts commodities across key regions, including China, India, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and other strategically competitive regions, strengthening continuity of supply and mitigating geopolitical, capacity, and operational risks.

This position will drive standardized global RFQ, sourcing, and supplier development processes aligned with commodity strategies to directly support respective GCLs and business requirements. The role will manage complex, cross-regional sourcing and supplier performance challenges, lead long-term supply base strategy and planning, and contribute to overall business strategy to deliver best-in-class SQDC performance, increased supplier optionality, and measurable risk reduction.

What you will do (Roles & Responsibilities:)

As overall Global Sourcing Diversification & Performance Leader:

  • Develop and optimize existing and new supplier capabilities across strategic regions to maximize capacity, on-time delivery, quality, and total landed cost competitiveness. Drive actions in alignment with the Global Commodity Leaders' strategy.
  • Support volume allocation and market share with suppliers in regions, proactively identifying cost and performance gaps and supply concentration risks, leading mitigation actions to improve competitiveness, continuity of supply, and SQDC performance.
  • Identify and support synergies across Combustion and Small Parts commodities and supply base, including consolidation, shared sourcing strategies, negotiations, and cross-commodity capability & capacity development.
  • Lead product and supplier qualification programs with cross-functional teams to accelerate speed to capacity, dual sourcing, and regionalization objectives.
  • Lead competitive RFQ and sourcing processes to secure regional capacity aligned with GCL strategy and business demand, supporting lead time and inbound cycle time reductions.
  • Partner with Sourcing Quality to align qualification priorities, schedules, and resources, ensuring high-quality, timely supplier development and launch readiness.
  • Drive execution in alignment with Global Commodity Leaders' strategies, ensuring sourcing and diversification actions support global commodity roadmaps and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead supplier capacity assessments, audits, and performance reviews (e.g., FHR, VMI, QBRs), and drive corrective and continuous improvement actions.
  • Lead and support resolution of supplier fulfillment, delivery, and quality issues, ensuring rapid containment, root cause, and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Own and manage key sourcing and commodity KPIs, including diversification, qualification pipeline, volume leakage, and cost-out, with clear governance and accountability.
  • Lead and support cross-functional cost-out and value engineering initiatives (pivot to value) to deliver structural cost, productivity, and margin improvements.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, commercial negotiations, and contract enablement (MNDAs, Terms & Conditions) in partnership with Legal to ensure compliant, risk-balanced, and performance-driven supplier relationships.

Specific to the RFQ Center; influence and motivate people, fostering commitment and a shared sense of responsibility. Lead by example, accountable for their actions, and build trust through consistency and authenticity. Listen to their team members as well as cross functional organizations and provide the necessary support and tools for success.

Description:

  • Manage a team of RFQ specialists and interns to execute commodity strategic RFQs as well as critical fulfilment related quote requests
  • Make sure that the team is acting according to integrity rules focusing on supplier communication, data accuracy, cybersecurity.
  • Define individual performance targets and ensure GE Vernova Way characteristics are acquired by RFQ specialists. Encourage them to develop with continuous feedback and mentoring.
  • Operate KPI rhythm to meet business goals and SQDC - Quote coverage, quote cycle, accuracy level, qualification, cost out. Drive continuous improvement actions based on the measurement result, in order to support to business goals.
  • Create proper capacity resourcing with process optimization, workload balancing and collaborate with the Global Commodity Leaders to prioritize RFQ packages.
  • Lean leadership - focusing on creating a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen) and respect for people to eliminate waste and maximize customer value. It empowers teams, promotes, and involves leaders directly in, problem-solving at the workplace (Gemba) rather than managing from afar.
  • Coordinating GE Vernova level commodity projects on demand. Create SQDC opportunities across different business unit with supply chain synergies.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • BS/BA Degree (Technical or Business preferred)
  • Significant experience in strategic sourcing
  • Previous Manufacturing/Sourcing and negotiations experience
  • Demonstrated project/program management leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Parts ERP Systems, including Business Intelligence tools (Data Warehouse, Power Source)
  • Strong skills in MS Office Applications (including MS Access)
  • Solid communication skills and presentation skills in English AND Hungarian
  • Self-starter, resourceful, team builder and a leader
