Global Commodity Leader - Direct Shared Spend
Job Description Summary
The Global Commodity Leader - Direct Shared will lead an enterprise wide sourcing and supply chain transformation initiative focused on improving external supply performance to enable business growth. This role owns strategy and execution across direct shared commodities, partnering closely with business commodity leaders to secure long term capacity, reduce lead times, and optimize total landed cost through disciplined sourcing strategies.
This is a high impact leadership role operating at the intersection of sourcing, supply chain, and business execution, with direct influence on growth readiness and margin performance.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive enterprise-level strategy for direct shared spend commodities, aligned with business growth plans.
- Lead long-term capacity locking strategies with critical suppliers to support volume growth and demand volatility.
- Partner with business and commodity leaders to reduce lead times and improve supply responsiveness across the network.
- Drive total landed cost optimization using advanced sourcing strategies, should-cost, and fact-based negotiations.
- Align sourcing strategies across businesses to maximize scale leverage while respecting operational constraints.
- Lead supplier strategy including supplier segmentation, Long term Agreements (LTAs), market-share alignment, and risk mitigation.
- Govern execution through clear performance metrics, opportunity tracking, and disciplined follow-through.
- Act as a connector and integrator across sourcing, operations, engineering, and finance to ensure outcomes translate into business results.

Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience leading direct materials sourcing or commodity management in a complex, global environment
- Demonstrated success in enterprise or matrixed operating models
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority
- Data-driven, structured thinker with strong execution bias
- Minimum work experience of 12+ years of commodity or sourcing exp
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree in engineering or MBA from an accredited university or college.
